Project Gaia promotes clean cookstoves powered by alcohol fuels to eradicate energy poverty and increase access to sustainable cooking fuels. They focus on establishing locally-owned microdistilleries to help communities become energy independent. Project Gaia works to raise awareness of the benefits of alcohol fuels, displace traditional polluting fuels, spur job creation, and share knowledge and resources to increase energy access.
