White Lion VSOA is the first "coconut arrack" available in the US. VSOA is not a Middle-Eastern arak (not licorice-flavored). It is a 2800 year old spirit, once enjoyed by Marco Polo and the British Royal Navy. Produced exclusively in Sri Lanka. VSOA is distilled from the naturally-fermented nectar of coconut flowers, then mellowed 2 years in rare Asian Halmilla wood. VSOA is a distilled spirit unlike any other, but some describe as a very smooth "whiskey-like" spirit with a uniquely subtle floral/fruit palate (vs. traditional single malt, grain or blended whiskeys).
